Looking for childcare Henderson, daycare Henderson or preschool Henderson?
You'll find what you're looking for at Kindercare in Henderson, which is in the dedicated and experienced hands of our centre director, Lisa Grant.
“As you step inside, you’ll feel the “homely-like” family centre, where my team and I are here to support you and to love your child as they grow and develop. Recognising that your little one is unique, and valuing the trust you place in us, makes celebrating and building on each of your child’s achievements and successes all the more special.
What We Offer:
There are lots of large open spaces, bike tracks, a flying fox, monkey bars, walk in sandpits and vegetable/herb gardens tended by the children that are just waiting to be discovered by your child in our newly designed and built outdoor play area. You’ll love the challenging set-ups and opportunities to explore that it offers.
Ensuring your child is developing, learning and have loads of fun in our safe, flexible, and respectful environment is something my staff and I take pride in. It’s also one of the reasons I adore working alongside such a dedicated, trained, warm and loving team.
Let us show you how your child will be kept ‘Safe, Loved and Learning’ in our Kindercare family.
Your baby will be treasured in a relaxed, homely environment, cared for by teachers who are committed to working with you – to keep you informed about your baby’s well-being and development.
There’ll be time spent outdoors every day – to incorporate physical activity, water play, sand play, bubbles etc. Mat time, indoors, happens every day too, and is something your baby will enjoy and benefit from because our teachers carefully select a topic and ensure they use colourful, exciting books, CD’s and puppets to bring learning to life for your little one.
Daily chats and a daily journal are effective in supporting our partnership with you and keeping your home life well connected to centre life. As well as a safe environment, with lots of opportunities to explore, having a primary caregiver means your baby’s home routine is followed as closely as possible, and ensures that your infant receives what they most need: regular, warm interactions and moments of gentle affection, throughout the day. So we give lots of cuddles!
Your toddler will thrive in this loving, nurturing and friendly environment where teachers use a flexible approach to guide your little one as he/she begins to assert his/her independence.
The homely environment of this room is created by encouraging families to bring in family photos, and the classroom teddy, Toby, goes home with one of the toddlers every Friday – giving families an opportunity to document in a book what they did with Toby over the weekend. It’s the priority that is placed on regular, open communication and meaningful conversations with parents that keep us focussed on what’s working and what’s best for your child and their development.
At this stage, consistency in routine is important and this is reflected in the daily program, including meal times, sleep time and mat time, as well as many opportunities throughout the day where your toddler is given the freedom to explore – both indoors and outdoors. Large open spaces, with areas for climbing, running, swings, walk in sandpits and bridges all support and encourage your child’s gross motor skill development, balancing, and spatial awareness.
The exciting programs and project work for your child in this room include Letterland, the “Incredible Years”, and “You Can Do It” programs – each specialising in various areas of learning and development for your child including early literacy, building foundations skills for success in formal learning, nurturing a love of life-long learning and personal growth. These programs introduce your child to a range of varied opportunities to research, explore and make discoveries – guided by his/her own abilities and areas of interest.
Planned daily activities are all about having fun as well as supporting your little one’s literacy and numeracy development, and strengthening your child’s self-help and self-care skills, independence and emotional self-worth.
We find many young children enjoy tending our vegetable and flower gardens – an activity that encourages and supports them in developing ways to care for our environment. And physical activity and challenges are not forgotten! In our large outdoor play area, your little one will enjoy daily set ups for water play, carpentry and sand play.
Older preschool children are given the opportunity to participate in Cherry.bytes, Kindercare’s information technology program. Once a week, in a supervised session, your child will be using iPads, (and other technology), as just another interactive learning tools to explore, make discoveries, investigate and research. It’s a whole new world that safely introduces technology, while supporting the current classroom focus.
Transition to School:
Your little one will be well prepared for their transition to school at our centre, as our Transition to School program is planned to make this as smooth and exciting as possible.
Among other things, we provide reading books which your child is able to take home on a weekly basis, and we organise a lunch box day to encourage your child and support them in learning how to open their lunch box, unwrap food and enjoy a packed lunch, confidently, before they start school.
Your child will love the special area we’ve created for small group activities as well as the pebble pit, sand pit and the opportunity to be involved in looking after the vegetable and herb gardens.
Our dedicated team of passionate teachers have the “heart” commitment that ensures your child receives the best care and education at our centre in Henderson. And because we have teachers from a range of cultures, it assists the transition into care for those children from other cultures.
It’s important that are our staff know they are valued and that’s why we’re committed to their on-going professional development and providing a supportive environment – because we want them to succeed as teachers. In the care of a happy, fulfilled team, your child will be recognised and responded to as the unique, capable and beautiful individual that they are.
My Commitment to You:
I’m committed to creating a centre where you’ll love to be – a positive and happy atmosphere where your family will feel welcomed, where your child will have fun and where we’ll work with you to achieve the best for your child.
Taking the First Step:
Before enrolling, it’s important that you and your child come in to the centre for a visit and take your time to have a look through each room, meet the teachers who will be caring for your child, say hello to the cook who’ll be preparing daily home-cooked meals, ask questions and generally get a feel for the centre. The homely environment is something we’re proud of and we’d love the opportunity to show you how our Kindercare family will care for your precious baby, toddler or preschooler.”
