Kia Ora,

I believe your child is a gift. I value the time I spend with them—listening to their stories, seeing them develop as they prepare for school, and offering hugs.

Because it’s not always possible for parents to care for their child at home, it’s a privilege for us to be able to support families by listening, sharing experiences, and offering support, if it’s requested.

At this Rototuna daycare centre, our friendly team embraces the diversity of your child and your whānau, because we’re a diverse bunch ourselves! As a team we speak a few different languages to enable us to support a range of nationalities. And if there is a language we don’t know, we’re willing to try—whatever it takes to help your little one settle in.

We also value our relationships within the community, including those with local businesses. These help us provide real-life learning opportunities about different professions, and introduce your child to new skills and experiences. It’s our way of continuing to support your family—and support local—while helping your child grow into a capable and confident person.

You can feel comfortable leaving your precious child safely in our hands, because here, we look after your child as one of our own.

With love,
Amanda Furniss

Why Choose Our Centre

Simply put, it’s because we offer outstanding early childhood care and learning. But here are a few other great reasons:

  • We pride ourselves on having open communication and additional support services, should you ever need them, to help your child learn, grow, and thrive.
  • We desire to work in partnership with whānau because we believe families who actively contribute to their child’s learning goals will deeply enrich their preschool years.
  • We love celebrations! Throughout the year, we intentionally plan for and learn about celebrations that reflect the cultural diversity of our center community.
  • Our operational hours allow us to provide flexible options to suit your family’s needs, including full-time and part-time care.
  • Kai is included. We provide high-quality, plant-based whole-food meals for tamariki—all cooked on-site and prepared with love.
  • We offer a generous leave policy because we understand the unpredictability of children’s absences.

About Our Care

Settled in the heart of Rototuna, childcare at our centre is designed to meet whānau aspirations and the needs of each child, with age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers throughout their day. Through each stage, we’ll develop your child’s foundation skills, and help them prepare for their transition to school, with lots of cuddles, unhurried interactions and routines—throughout their journey with us.

We work in partnership with parents to ensure that each child has the opportunity to develop their full potential, and we welcome and encourage parent participation in our centre community.

Our centre is committed to providing responsive and respectful care for each child. We invite parents to share their family news, give us feedback, and collaborate with us on their child’s individual learning plan and goals. Together, we can create a successful pathway to kura for your child.

Since 2009, we have been a part of the community, offering a fun-filled learning program that encourages innovative thinking, discovery, and curiosity.

We understand that families have different childcare needs, and we would love to discuss them with you. This enables us to provide a tailored approach to your child’s care, learning and fees, to support their growth.

We look forward to supporting you and your child on their incredible journey with us through these early years.
