In the event we are notified of a verifiable positive case of Covid-19 in the centre community, steps will be taken to close the centre as soon as practicable, and reduce the risk of transmission. Parents and caregivers will be contacted to pick up children as soon as possible to help us in closing our centre.

Parents, as you arrive to collect your children, please

  1. Do not come into the centre. We will bring your children to you.

  2. Wear a mask

  3. Physically distance from other parents in the carpark/waiting area.

  4. A team member will be situated at the front door who knows the families who can inform each room of the parents' arrival.

  5. Weather permitting, we will use the fire exit gates from the playgrounds, as appropriate, to transfer children to their parents. A staff member must stay at the gate to supervise if this method is used. (Using the fire exit gate reduces the need to walk through the centre.)

  6. Your child and their belongings will be passed back into the care of their parents.

We will then contact you via text message and Educa with further instructions/next steps as we are informed by the Ministry of Health.

In all likelihood, the centre will remain closed for at least 3 days while a deep clean is undertaken and contact-tracing gets underway.  The centre (or just an affected bubble) may be closed for 14-days if instructed to do so by the Ministry of Health.
