- a generous annual leave allowance
- a nutritious midday meal, prepared fresh at thecentredaily – so you won’t need to pack kai
- healthy mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks to fuel your child’s play and learning
- our Positive Parenting program – offering tips, advice and support for every family
Every child has different needs, and that’s why we ask that you supply your child’s own bottles, formula and nappies for each day.

What’s the first step?
You have a few options to contact us including online, phone or just simply pop in. We’d love to meet you and your child and we will happily show you around our daycare centre. We encourage you to ask us lots of questions and we’ll find out how we can best serve you and your whānau.
We encourage as many settling visits as you can, recommending at least three. This gives you and your child time to get to know the Kaiako, their first friends, and the routines and rituals in their room environment. We will organise all of this with you when you come in for your first tour of the centre. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Why choose our centre?
We opened our doors in September 2019, and since then, we’ve been developing a community feel to our early childhood centre. It’s because tamariki are kept at the heart of what we do, that we take time to create a home away from home feeling at our childcare centre in Paraparaumu.
Because we acknowledge parents and whānau as first Teachers, we want to find out about your hopes and dreams for your child so that we can work in partnership to nurture and develop your child’s unique potential.
Our care and learning
We care for children aged 3 months – 5 years old, with experienced Kaiako who nurture a warm, trusted bond with your child. Our interactions with tamariki are calm and unhurried, ensuring we can be responsive to one another.
In our care, your child will receive intentional care and individual learning that recognises their unique strengths and interests, as well as your hopes and dreams for your son or daughter. As Kaiako, we plan and implement a wide variety of fun-filled learning experiences for your child to flourish and develop to their full potential as they start their life long journey of learning.
We offer a beautiful, free flowing environment with indoor and outdoor play spaces that will excite, challenge and engage your child throughout their day.
Kiwi Room (babies and toddlers room)
This room has been set up to gently nurture our youngest tamariki. We focus on the care of your baby and toddler, working closely with you to ensure you and your child feel secure in the care that we provide. Our Kaiako create magic moments of connection and learning through play, intentionally planning for and focusing on personalising each little one’s care routine. To assist each child with settling and relaxing into a trusted relationship, we take time to foster a secure attachment between your child and their special key Kaiako. Ask us about our key teaching programme.
Pūkeko Room (preschool room)
Here, you’ll discover a vibrant and interactive space for fun-filled, play-based learning. Your child will be introduced to stories and activities that foster their social and emotional development, and support their growing friendship skills.
To encourage opportunities for your child to explore and make exciting discoveries, we create a relaxed environment, with great indoor/outdoor flow throughout the day. Our energetic and engaged Kaiako know how to make your child’s early years memorable as they purposefully care for, plan and design learning opportunities that keep your child’s development and potential in mind.
And for our older preschoolers, you will find we offer a Transition to School program that guides and prepares them, through activities and learning experiences, for a smooth transition into primary school. There is a focus on encouraging your child’s independence and love of learning.
Our world of outdoor play
Spending time outdoors provides invaluable learning opportunities for tamariki to develop gross and fine motor skills – because for a child, movement is critical for making connections that develop their brain, while they have fun swinging, dangling, climbing, running, hopping and jumping. There’s endless discoveries to be made in our outdoor environment.
The west facing playground has the benefit of all-day sun, and is surrounded by greenery. It’s sure to entice everyone, big and small, with a large variety of equipment available for play and physical challenge. With our infinity sand pits, water play stations, swings and climbing equipment, every child’s need for active exploration is satisfied.
A little about our team
Our Kaiako are experienced, competent, and passionate about early childhood education. We have a strong team culture, a heart for keeping tamariki safe, loved and learning, and ensuring we have fun learning together. We work really closely with you as parents and whānau, to build relationships and create an environment that supports tamariki in reaching their full potential. We look forward to meeting you soon.
What are you waiting for? Come and join us! And let our whānau take care of your precious whānau.
