Kia Ora,

My team and I are committed to creating a centre you’ll love to be in—a positive and happy atmosphere where your whānau feel welcome. Where your child will have fun. And where we’ll work with you to achieve the best for your child.

Ensuring children are developing, learning and having loads of fun in our safe and respectful environment is something my team and I take pride in. It’s also one of the reasons I adore working alongside such a dedicated, flexible, warm and loving team.

Having planted ourselves in the community in 1999, we are conveniently located for families in Massey, Ranui, Henderson, and Te Atatu. Childcare at our centre is designed to meet whānau aspirations and the needs of each child, with age-appropriate activities for Infants, toddlers and preschoolers throughout their day.

Visit us if you’re looking for childcare close to you. Let us show you how your child will be kept safe, loved and learning in our Kindercare family.

Arohanui,
Lisa Grant

Why Choose Our Centre

Simply put, we are an established centre with a reputation in the community for providing outstanding early childhood care and education. But here are a few other great reasons:

  • We have a team of experienced Kaiako who are caring and are proud of the mahi that we do.
  • We have strong connections in our local community.
  • We acknowledge and embrace our diverse whānau, celebrating special days and events that are culturally meaningful to our centre community.
  • Our outdoor areas are big and our classrooms are spacious, with a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and easy car park access.
  • Our learning environments are fun, interactive and responsive. We follow children’s interest and then extend their learning to support this interest.
  • Our operational hours allow us to provide flexible options to suit your family’s needs, with full-time and part-time care.
  • Kai is included. We provide high-quality plant-based whole-food meals for tamariki—all cooked on-site and prepared with love.
  • We offer a generous leave policy because we understand the unpredictability of children’s absences.

About Our Care

At Kindercare Henderson, we recognise each child is on a unique haerenga, or journey, with incredible potential, so tamariki is at the heart of all that we do. Children matter to us, therefore families and Teachers matter just as much, with whanaungatanga as our foundation.

Our interactions of whakaute, or respect, aroha and atawhai or kindness, support tamariki in growing to become capable learners. And by working in partnership with their whānau and valuing their aspirations, we know they are developing into the best version of themselves.

Our west Auckland daycare centre has an intimate babies room with an open sleep area, allowing for close connections through reciprocal relationships and respectful care. As your child transition into their preschool years, you’ll find the environments, rhythms and rituals in these classrooms providing stronger links to kura. Our preschool Teachers create links into the local school, intentionally integrate age appropriate digital technologies into children’s learning experiences, and strengthen social-emotional skills to provide a healthy pathway to kura.

We acknowledge and are guided by Te Whāriki, which is woven into our learning. We also acknowledge our role to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment towards partnership, participation and protection as a response to our culturally diverse community. As a centre we are proud of the connections we have made with our local community and the sense of mana whenua (belonging) and mana atua (well-being) this give us.

We understand that families have different childcare needs, and we would love to discuss them with you. This enables us to provide a tailored approach to your child’s care, learning and fees, to support their growth.

Take care of our children.
Take care of what they hear,
take care of what they see,
take care of what they feel.
For how children grow,
so will be the shape of Aotearoa.
