Kindercare Silverdale

We are very grateful for the wonderful four months Henry spent at Kindercare Silverdale, from the end of April to the end of August. When Henry first started, he was an international student and could only speak a few simple English words. At the beginning, he was quite resistant to going to kindy. There were many mornings when he would get to the entrance but didn’t want to go inside. A very special thank you to Emma, who was always there to patiently welcome Henry and, many times, gently carried him inside when he was reluctant to come in. Emma even took the time to learn a few simple Chinese words, such as “抱抱” (a cuddle), to help Henry feel more comfortable and reassured. Those little things meant so much to us as parents. But after four months, we have seen such a big change in Henry. Now, he actually reminds us to get ready and leave home because he doesn’t want to be late for kindy! He has become much more confident, settled into the environment really well, and can even sing several English songs. For us, this has been such a lovely thing to see. It’s not just about learning English — Henry has become more confident, independent and comfortable communicating and being part of a new environment. We are also very thankful to all the other teachers in his room for their patience, kindness and encouragement. And we really appreciate having a Mandarin-speaking teacher who could give Henry extra comfort and support while he was adjusting to a new language and environment. Four months may not seem like a long time, but the change we have seen in Henry has been incredible. We are so grateful to the whole Kindercare Silverdale team, especially Emma, for making Henry feel safe, supported and welcome. Thank you for helping Henry grow from a little boy who was nervous about going inside to a happy and confident child who now doesn’t want to be late for kindy. We will always remember his time at Kindercare Silverdale with great fondness. ❤️

We honestly can’t thank Kindercare Silverdale enough for everything they’ve done for our family. They have been absolutely amazing with both of our girls, and the care, support, and love they show every day really stands out. Our oldest daughter attended here, along with three of my siblings, and now seeing the same level of care given to our younger girls has meant so much to us. The teachers are kind, patient, and truly invested in the children—they go above and beyond to make sure each child feels safe, supported, and happy. As parents, it gives us so much peace of mind knowing our girls are in such a nurturing and positive environment. The communication is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and you can genuinely see how much the staff care about what they do. My little boy has been with Kindercare since we moved to the coast nearly four years ago. From day one he was welcomed into the centre with warmth and love. He has learnt so much from all the kaiako and staff, and has had the opportunity to develop and grow. Would definitely recommend this centre to anyone looking for a village to help raise their little one. It is also well placed if you commute into the city, the food is healthy, the centre is always clean, and every day there are different activities set up ready to go when the children arrive. We only graduated last week and my son is already asking when he can go back to visit!

Genuinely one of the best ECE Centers I have come across! Everyone always greets you with the biggest smile. Amazing and caring staff, really supportive to our special needs boy, really well organised. They presented and executed (really well!) a detailed plan for his transition back to preschool after a big operation. I would recommend them over and over again!

Very happy with the team at Kindercare over the years, experienced from Kiwi room all the way to Kereku and off to school across our 2 girls, from 6 months old. The teachers and centre team absolutely fantastic. Great connection with kids and the families! Kids happy to meet their friends and the teachers and be in their adapted environment everyday. Lots of activities and development opportunities for the tamariki.

My son has been attending this centre for the past 2 years and has improved so much. He loves this Kindercare and enjoys going everyday. They do a lot of fun activities. I have also seen him become more adventurous with the foods he eats and is very encouraging that he should try everything before deciding if he likes it or not which has made him a non picky eater. The staff is so lovely and accommodating, I am sad that my son is grown out of the centre and will be starting with school because we both will miss being here.

Absolutely love this centre. Having four kids, we have been with a bunch of centers over the years, and I can honestly say Kindercare Silverdale is at the top BY FAR. They do not just look after our kids, they really care for them and invest in them. And the kids definitely adore their Kindercare family. Our youngest child joined Kindercare Silverdale when we moved to the area last year. I am so genuinely happy we went with the decision to enroll at Kindercare that I wish my older (school) kid hadn't missed out on this experience! All the teachers are child-centered, and truly everything revolves around our little people here. With the friendly greeting in the morning and the meaningful conversations every day, they are taking important space in the children's lives. We have had the best experience at Kindercare. Our son and now our daughter have been part of the Kindercare family for 5 years and have had the best start to their learning. Our twins have attended Kindercare Silverdale since before their first birthday, and they've only got two weeks left before starting school. We're feeling quite emotional about leaving behind this beautiful place and all of the lovely people who have cared for our girls over the years! The staff are just fantastic - so kind, welcoming and really took the time to get to know us as a family and our daughters as individuals. I hated the idea of our girls ever being lumped together as 'the twins' and treated as if they were the same, but I didn't have anything to worry about here. From day 1, the team went out of their way to understand our very different little girls, and give them every opportunity to express themselves as individuals and do what made them happy. We've seen amazing progress in both girls, in terms of their confidence, social skills, friendships and school readiness. They are always warmly greeted by staff and friends, with fun activities ready for them to get stuck into. Families are equally welcomed into the centre, and we've loved being able to share in special occasions like Matariki and Christmas celebrations. Staff longevity here is really impressive - so many of the staff members have been here for many years, and you can tell. They know each other so well, work together so well, and see the kids progress from babies right through to school kids. It's so lovely to see teachers from the babies' room still calling out hello and chatting to the girls as they walk all the way down the hall to the big kids' room now! Our older son was at a centre with much higher staff turnover, and the difference it makes is huge, in terms of how calm and settled the whole vibe is. We've also really appreciated the beautiful healthy food that is served to the kids every day. It's so reassuring to know that by the time they get home, they've already been eating (and enjoying!) so many yummy fruits & vegetables all day! We would highly recommend Kindercare Silverdale to anyone looking for a warm, nurturing space for their little ones to grow.

We’re thankful our neighbours suggested Kindercare Silverdale. Denise at the front desk always greets us cheerfully. Our two boys enjoy their time at the centre, making friends and learning new skills. The staff are caring and receptive to feedback, especially regarding my eldest’s eczema, his teachers have been very understanding and supportive. Plus, according to my boys and judging by the delicious aromas- the chef is excellent. We highly recommend this centre if you’re seeking a warm family oriented environment for your child.

Both of my daughters have attended Kindercare, and even though they are three and a half years apart, many of the same teachers were still there when my younger daughter started. The stability and experience of the team really made us feel confident and supported. The teachers are incredibly caring and patient. My girls especially love Jessie, Lyann, and Emma — they always make the children feel safe, happy, and loved. Denise at the front desk is also wonderful. She greets us warmly every day and communicates very clearly whenever something comes up. I’m truly grateful for the kindness and dedication of the whole Kindercare team. Both of my daughters had a happy, safe, and loving early childhood experience here. Highly recommend to any family in the area!

Kindercare Silverdale. I'm absolutely loving the care my kids have received at Kindercare 🤩! From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was special, and the staff are just incredible people 🥰. Highly recommend KinderCare Silverdale! Our daughter had a tough time adjusting at first, as English is not her first language, but the staff were amazing - so gentle and supportive. They worked closely with us to ease the transition, and now she runs in with a smile every morning! I went around few centres when looking for a place for my daugther to go and I found Kindercare had the best atmosphere. I am glad I chose Kindercare, the teachers are so caring, many have worked for long time, the programmes are wonderful especially for the older children. We had great experience overall. Our son started at Kindercare Silverdale when he was just 9 months old, and now he’s almost 5 and about to start school. We joined the centre based on a friend’s recommendation, and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made. The teachers are incredibly loving and attentive to each child. Many of them have been working here for over 20 years, which really helped our son feel secure and settled during his early years. We also appreciate that they provide morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea—it saved us the daily task of packing a lunchbox. The plant-based meals also gave us peace of mind when it came to food safety and allergies. We’re truly grateful for the care and dedication from the team. Thank you for creating such a warm and nurturing environment for our son.

A centre that feels like home when you walk through the door; we are always warmly greeted by Denise, Janna or Jane at the front desk. Kids are then welcomed into their room by the amazing, nurturing kaiako. The staff are passionate, highly skilled at their jobs and offer so much support to families; whether its helping with settling your child in the morning, toilet training or remembering what's important in each child's life at home. Amy makes the most delicious meals which our kids both loved and despite using Amy's exact recipes to recreate these meals at home, our daughter tells us "you need to ask Amy how to make it as good as hers!" We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Kindercare as we don't have whanau in Auckland, but having such a special place for our kids is the next best thing. Both our kids had five years being lovingly cared for by the unique Kindercare Silverdale team - after ten years of being part of the Kindercare whanau, it is really hard to imagine saying goodbye to the centre later this year when our baby turns five. Highly recommend!

We have had the privilege of our child attending Kindercare since he was small. The centre is absolutely fantastic, and the care that teachers have for children at each stage of their progression is remarkable. Even now, as our child looks towards school, teachers who have been there since he was tiny still say hi to him, and genuinely care to see how he is progressing. The Kaiako create a great environment for the tamariki to challenge themselves, grow, and learn in a safe space with plenty of support. We are very thankful to Kindercare Silverdale for their support in our child’s early years.

As parents, we are truly grateful to see our child’s happiness and progress. Every day brings something new—one day, the room transforms into a dinosaur park, and the next, it becomes a construction site. Their innovative activities make learning fun and engaging, ensuring that no two days are ever the same. What truly sets Kindercare apart is the passion of the teachers. They don’t just provide a service; they create lasting memories filled with love and care for both the children and their parents. For that, I am deeply grateful.

I can't praise Kindercare Silverdale enough! From the lovely admin and leadership team, to the chef and of course the Kaiako - everyone is so friendly and show genuine love and care for the kids. There are so many opportunities for learning through play, the activities are so engaging for the kids, and my daughter is always coming home with new songs, or acting out role plays that she has been doing in her room. The teachers and chef have been so accommodating with our dairy/tomato allergies, and have a great system which puts our minds at rest. We are very grateful for everything the team at Kindercare Silverdale do - it has been a wonderful experience for my child and I am looking forward to seeing her continue to flourish under their care.

Kindercare Silverdale is an exceptional daycare. Both of our boys have attended, and the experience has been wonderful. The teachers are truly outstanding, providing attentive care from infancy, with support for sleep and feeding, all the way through to older toddlers, fostering exploration and catering to each child's unique needs. Many staff members have been there for a long time, which means stability for both kids and parents, avoiding the disruption of constant change. The meals provided are both delicious and nutritious—so much so that our kids often request the same foods at home. We genuinely feel like a part of the Kindercare Silverdale family and deeply appreciate everything they do for us. Choosing them to nurture and care for your children at any age is a decision you won’t regret!

We joined the Kindercare Silverdale family six years ago, first with our son and later our 4yr old daughter who is currently in her final class, before starting ‘big school’ next year. Both children have high health needs that require a lot of extra care and attention but as a working mother I have always felt reassured that when we drop them off, all care is taken to ensure they are safe and well-cared for. The Kaiako are knowledgeable about the actions to take in the case of a medical event and we have clear and open communication. The care and support of the Kindercare kaimahi have enabled me to continue with my career, which would not have been possible otherwise. The relationships we have built over the years will last a lifetime and the learning and skills they’ve developed is incomparable. As an example, this week the 4-5yr old class are learning about emotional competence, in age-appropriate lessons. The thought and planning in the learning and experiences are evident in the special events which are planned. The annual Winter Festival Week is a treat….from camping in the outdoor area, to spa days and snuggly blanket days. In December, Santa visits with gifts - such a highlight! Diversity and inclusion are embraced and welcomed, whether it may be a disability or culturally. For Matariki, whānau are invited for a special evening of kai and socialising. Diwali and Chinese New Year celebrations at Kindercare are also examples of how the different cultures of the Tamariki and their families are acknowledged and celebrated. These special celebrations are incorporated in the lessons leading up to the event and our daughter arrives home very excited to share these with us. Also, learning opportunities relevant to their daily life are created from any stories that families share on their Educa profile, such as a family holiday or a trip to the zoo. We will be sad when it is our time to move on to the next stage, but forever grateful for the time we had here and the precious memories created. For any family seeking quality childcare in a loving environment, I cannot speak more highly of Kindercare Silverdale.

We have had 2 kids in Kindercare Silverdale over the last 7 years and couldn't have picked a better centre to help raise our kids. The whole team are amazing and only a few have left/arrived over those years so we still get to chat daily with the previous teachers - knowing the teachers are happy is a great way to gage the environment our children are in during the day. I've always appreciated how open and approachable they are if either had any concerns. The centre safety is one of the top priorities for us and the pool fence gate and pin code is reassuring. Even with the kids being so young it's also good knowing they do the emergency drills to cover any emergency including the lock down procedures. The menu definitely helps with any picky eaters and what I would give to be able to stay for lunch some days! I'll be very sad to leave the centre next year but have appreciated all the Kindercare family and everything you have done for our family! If you are looking for a family like centre - seriously look no further!

What I love the most about Kindercare Silverdale are their teachers. They are outstanding and go above and beyond to make sure they attend to every child's need. They truly care for the children and know how to manage challenges really well. My two kids went to Kindercare and I can say they have the confidence and happiness that every child needs to transition to school and are well prepared for it.

Like most, I started searching for the perfect daycare to look after our little one by visiting all of our area's centers. Kindercare, was our last stop, and I knew almost immediately that this was the place for us. The best word I can use to describe it is "home." I leave every morning after drop off so grateful for the amazing people that surround my child with love and support every day. I can feel how every member of the staff comes to work every day not because it is their job, but because they love what they do. My daughter has been attending Kindercare Learning Centres for 3 days a week since she was one and is just about to graduate and go to school. She has absolutely loved her time at Kindercare and has thrived there. Couldn't recommend the centre enough. From the teachers, to the food to the learning environment, it's definitely a one of a kind centre. Teachers - Each teacher is kinder than the next. Our daughter can be a bit sensitive so sometimes need extra care and cuddles and we found the teachers really got to know her and treated her with so much kindness and care, going out of their way to make her feel welcome and safe in each room. The teachers really listen to what each child is interested in and responds to and will cater conversations and learning around that. Learning - The mix of play and organised learning for the kids has been something we have loved. Our daughter has grown so much with her learning and confidence. A lot of it is child-led and just seems like fun and play to her. They have so many fun days for the kids to get involved in - camping day, dress up days and recently they even got to make their own dumplings for Chinese New Year (something my daughter had made with us at home and shown interest in). Food - it is amazing not to have to pack a lunchbox, knowing your child is being fed healthy and nutritious food. We aren't vegetarian but my daughter loves the vegetarian meals on offer and they are always served with protein and are well-balanced. She talks about the yummy food each day! Overall, couldn't recommend Kindercare enough. We are sad for her to leave but have another baby due in a couple of weeks who will definitely be attending when he's older! :)
