Kia Ora,

It’s my pleasure of being the Centre Director at Kindercare Warkworth. With over 15 years of experience in teaching and caring for young children, I am confident that we can make a difference for you and your child throughout the early years.

I believe in providing a safe, intentional, fun and playful environment for tamariki. I am passionate about strengthening relationships and ensuring tamariki, whānau and Kaiako experience connection and belonging.

I know that Kindercare Warkworth will feel like your home away from home as we begin to foster strong partnerships, serve with love and provide exceptional care and education.

Visit our centre today. We would love to show you our place because we know you will want to make it your place too!

Arohanui,

Why Choose Our Centre

Simply put, it’s because we offer outstanding early childhood care and learning. But here are a few other great reasons:

  • we provide specialised care for pēpi, with a consistent caregiving approach and separated intimate spaces solely for 0–1 and 1–2 year-old infants.
  • our operational hours allows us to provide flexible options to suit your family’s needs, with full-time and part-time care.
  • kai is included. We provide high-quality plant-based whole-food meals for tamariki—all cooked on site and prepared with love.
  • we offer a generous leave policy because we understand the unpredictability of children’s absences.
  • we have a beautifully large and extensively landscaped outdoor area built with natural materials to provoke creative and imaginative play.
  • purposefully designed play spaces including a large music and movement studio to challenge and lift the lid for possibilities to learn through moving.
  • develop social and emotional competencies to support life skills, and prepare tamariki for a smooth transition and pathway to kura.

About Our Care

Choosing a childcare centre is an important decision for your family, and we’re here to make that choice a little easier. Our centre is designed to meet whānau aspirations and the needs of each child, focused on their strengths, with age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers throughout their day.

In our under rooms for under-two-year-olds, we provide continuity of care with two separate outdoor spaces, while our toddlers have a large, intentionally planned outdoor space to move, hang, swing, and explore. We also have a program for preschoolers who are getting ready to start primary school, where we incorporate social-emotional learning through You Can Do It!, Letterland, digital technology, and project work throughout the day.

We believe in celebrating diversity and creating a strong sense of community, with respectful care and connection at the heart of everything we do. We’re all about exploring and learning together, making discoveries, and building strong reciprocal relationships with our children and their families.

In addition to our learning programs, we have a community room where for the likes of our Moving Smart program, dance, yoga, and music. This space is also available for the community to use, and we have a strong relationship with the Somerset community to play, learn, and teach the children.

Our childcare centre overlooks a lush backyard with native birds and a landscape to compliment their chirpy visits. We have beautifully prepared environments with an abundance of equipment to explore, create, and invent with.

We understand that families have different childcare needs, and we would love to discuss them with you. This enables us to provide a tailored approach to your child’s care, learning and fees, to support their growth.
