Transition to School
Like you, we want the best for your child. So we don’t compromise on safe, supportive, care and education. Our team works hard to ensure your family receives the highest standard of care for your weekly fee, which includes:
- a generous annual leave allowance
- a nutritious midday meal, prepared fresh at the centredaily – so you won’t need to pack kai
- healthy mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks to fuel your child’s play and learning
- our Positive Parenting program – offering tips, advice and support for every family
Because every child has different needs, we ask that you supply your child’s own bottles, formula and nappies for each day.
If you would like to learn more about our fees, enrolment schedules or space availability, please let us know. We’re happy to talk through any questions or provide whatever information you may need, to help you make the best decision for your child and your family.
What’s the first step?
At our daycare centre, we understand that deciding who to trust with the care and learning of your child is a big step. That’s why our door is always open for your family: stop in for a visit, anytime. Have a look around our creative indoor and outdoor learning spaces and meet our qualified, nurturing team. Once you have a feel for our safe, loving environment, you will have the information you need to compare all of the benefits we offer, with other centres. Let us support your family and whānau through these early preschool years, because together, we can help your child reach their full potential.
Why choose our centre?
Since 2002, we’ve been providing safe, loving care for tamarik. Our centre is a home-away-from-home for children; it’s where your little one will receive nurturing care and fun-filled learning that’s flexible and responsive to their individual needs, from infancy until they are ready for primary school.
We’ve created indoor and outdoor environments that provide spaces for children to explore, play and enjoy quiet moments, at every stage of their development. A centre that’s here for both you and your child, throughout their care and learning journey.
Our care and learning
Our early childhood centre is more than an early learning centre; we are team of passionate, qualified Kaiako, committed to meeting all of your child’s needs - social, emotional and physical - at every stage of their development. That’s why we offer separate indoor and outdoor learning areas that are designed specifically for your baby, toddler or preschooler, as well as a Transition to School program.
So at every stage of your child’s growth, your little one will participate in fun-filled activities that build the foundation skills they’ll need for school and beyond. Because we’re committed to giving your precious child every opportunity to reach their full potential.
Kiwi Room (babies room)
At Kindercare, we believe that every baby deserves to be cherished. That’s why in our warm, nurturing babies room, your little one comes first. Your pēpi will receive gentle care moments throughout their day and lots of time for smiles, singing, cuddles, and discoveries, indoors and out.
Building trusting, supportive relationships with you and your infant is the foundation of our care. By spending unhurried, quality time with your baby, we get to know their individual rhythm and routine, which enables to build a loving attachment with your child, so they feel safe to explore our sensory-rich world. And by communicating with you every step of the way, we’re able to ensure our care and learning meets your baby’s individual and developmental needs.
Tūī and Kea Rooms (toddlers room)
Toddlerhood is an exciting, active stage of development - which is why we believe in providing a safe environment for your child to explore, try new things and begin to develop a ‘sense of self’.
So, we’ve designed our fun-filled, nurturing environment and routine so it is responsive to how your little one is beginning to see the world around them. Here, your little one will be encouraged and supported through the gentle guidance and affectionate interactions of our qualified Teachers. There are plenty of activities and opportunities for them to be as ‘busy’ as they want to – exploring, making discoveries and playing with their little friends in our safe indoor and outdoor environments.
Pūkeko Room (preschool room)
At this age, we believe in providing tamariki with a safe, creative learning environment where friendships are fostered, language is developed and culture is embraced. In our preschool room, each day is a new, exciting opportunity to have fun learning through play in a loving, nurturing environment. You’ll find that in our centre, we recognise your child’s culture, respond to their educational needs, and keep their routine flexible and consistent, so your preschooler’s sense of belonging enables them to safely explore and make discoveries.
At this stage of development, your child will participate in an interest-based curriculum both indoors and outside, which includes a number of fun-filled programs that foster their social and emotional development through our “You Can Do It” program. For our older preschoolers, we offer a creative, exciting and comprehensive Transition to School program to ensure your child gains the benefit of a smooth transition into kura.
Our world of outdoor play
Movement is at the very heart of your child’s intellectual, social and physical development. That’s why children have daily time (weather permitting) in our safe, separate outdoor spaces, designed to meet the unique needs of our tamariki at each age and stage of development.
A little about our team
At our childcare centre, we believe every child should have the best possible care and learning during the early years. For this reason, our passionate, actively engaged Teachers are involved in ongoing professional development. This ensures they have the knowledge, skill and guidance to build a trusting, supportive relationship with your child and ability to create environments and learning experiences that are intentional and responsive to your little one.
Because we believe in strong, respectful relationships, we are dedicated to building and nurturing this with your family and whānau. Our partnership makes it possible to make your child’s preschool years so memorable.
As Centre Director of our daycare centre, I’m committed to creating a happy and positive atmosphere that will enhance your life and benefit your child. I care about ensuring that your family and my team feel welcomed, respected, and ‘at home’ at our centre.
And I care about daily communication with you – working together, so that your child can be the best they can be.
