Welcome to Kindercare Mount Wellington! We’re so glad you’re considering us for your child’s care and learning. My team and I are dedicated to providing loving care and education to your child every day they are with us. Our team is made up of a combination of qualified ECE Teachers, some in training to receive their registration, all of whom are passionate and enthusiastic about the mahi that they do.
Two other people on our team who are crucial to our mission to develop each child’s full potential are our Centre Administrator and Cook. Our Centre Administrator works alongside Kaiako and whānau to make sure things run smoothly in the background, and our wonderful Cook ensures there are meals throughout the day to fuel growing minds and little bodies.
At Kindercare Mount Wellington, we believe that whānau is everything. We’re here to support you and your child during these early childhood years, and we’re confident that together, we can make a difference in the life of your child. We understand that choosing the right environment for your child’s care and education is a significant decision, and we appreciate the trust you’re placing in us. About Our Care
Childcare at our centre is designed to meet whānau aspirations and the needs of each child, with age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers throughout their day.
Located in a peaceful and suburban hilltop site with stunning views of East Auckland, our beautiful outdoor play spaces are an extension of our centre, featuring lush trees, a well-shaded garden, and open areas for your child to explore and play with their friends. Our playgrounds flow seamlessly into our spacious rooms, where natural light floods in and provides a view of the garden.
At every stage of development, our environments are intentionally planned to provide nurturing care, creative learning, and social opportunities that support your child’s growth and development. And to ensure your child is comfortable and healthy, all our rooms are air-conditioned. Our generous off-street parking makes pick-up and drop-off a breeze.
Since 2007 we have been a part of the community, offering a fun-filled learning program that encourages innovative thinking, discovery, and curiosity. Our centre is conveniently located for families in Mount Wellington, Sylvia Park, Mt Wellington, Penrose, Panmure, and Ellerslie.
We understand that families have different childcare needs, and we would love to discuss them with you. This enables us to provide a tailored approach to your child’s care, learning and fees, to support their growth.
We recommend scheduling at least three transition visits to our daycare before your child’s enrolment. This way, your child will have the opportunity to become familiar with our centre and settle in comfortably. It’s also a chance for us to get to know your child and family better so we can provide the best care and learning experience to suit to your child’s individual needs.

The Centre Director at Kindercare Mt. Wellington has a fantastic understanding of what we go through as parents when making the necessary choice to put our children into the care of others. The team lovingly care for our babies as they grow into toddlers, and then into school-ready young people. I could not have taught my girls all they learn at Kindercare. The Teachers show lots of love and care towards our children.
