- the benefit of our positive parenting program – providing tips, advice, resources and support for families
Family and whanau are asked to supply your child’s bottles/formula and nappies that they need each day.
What is the first step?
We welcome you to come and spend some time at our safe, loving childcare centre. We’d love to meet you and your child, show you around, and introduce you to our devoted Kaiako. It would be their pleasure to get to know you, and share with you what makes our centre such a special place for children and their families and whānau.
Why choose our centre?
Our early childhood centre opened in 2018, and has continued to provide safe, loving care and learning for tamariki from birth to five years of age - or when they leave our care for primary school. While nurturing your child with care and education designed to meet their individual needs, we are also committed to fostering their wellbeing through healthy meals and snacks throughout the day.
And our support doesn’t end with your child, because your family matters to us too and we’re here to work with you through these early years.
Our care and learning
At Kindercare Aidanfield, your little one will be kept safe and cherished in care and learning rooms that are specially designed around their age and stage of development. Working in small groups, we ensure your child will receive quality interactions with our highly experienced, skilled Kaiako. It’s our way of empowering your child with the security and confidence to learn.
We also provide fun-filled educational programs that are specific to your child’s needs as they grow and develop. These include:
Your child will learn the skills needed for school, and for life, through play.
Early literacy and Transition to School
We’ll prepare your child for primary school through an introduction to letters and reading, while familiarising them with the school experience.
Music and art sessions
Your child will express their creativity while having fun and making friends - all on a daily basis.
‘You Can Do It’
Your child will build their social and emotional skills through lesson plans, songs, puppets, games, posters and pictures.
Kiwi and Ruru Rooms (babies rooms)
We believe your baby deserves the best start in life - and that’s what our Kiwi and Ruru Rooms are all about. Here, we ensure your little one feels safe and loved, by maintaining a low Kaiako-baby ratio. We partner with you and whānau to integrate your baby’s home routine as closely as possible. This helps them to settle in, while developing the confidence to explore and learn. Your baby will enjoy doing this in our wide-open playground for our youngest tamariki, where we’ll guide them through movement and discovery.
Tūī Room (toddlers room)
In our Tūī Room, we understand the importance of continuous support for your child, during this active stage of development. That’s why we maintain good Kaiako-child ratios to ensure your little one is lovingly guided through everything from daily learning to important milestones, like toilet-training. We’re committed to creating safe, fun-filled learning environments that are specifically designed for your child’s age and stage of development. This includes our child-centred outdoor playground, where your little one can be the ‘King’ or ‘Queen’ of their own special world. All while developing the skills they need for the future.
Pūkeko and Takahē Rooms (preschool rooms)
When your child reaches preschool age, we believe in helping them develop important skills for primary school through fun-filled learning. And we do it in our safe, loving Pūkeko and Takahē Rooms. Here, we’re passionate about helping your child learn and grow through activities that are interest-based, while inspiring your little one to use their incredible imagination. Our large outdoor playground (shared with our Transition to School Room) provides daily opportunities for your preschooler to learn and develop through physically safe challenges. The slides, swings and sandpit all create a true Kiwi play experience for our tamariki to discover and enjoy.
Kōtuku Room (transition to school room)
We recognise the importance of social and emotional development as your little one prepares for that next big step into primary school. For this reason, we’re proud to offer a Transition to School programme that builds these skills, while sparking their curiosity and a passion for life-long learning. All of this and more will help provide your child with a smoother transition into formal learning.
Our world of outdoor play
We understand that movement is directly connected to your child’s growth and development. That’s why we believe it’s important to offer safe, expansive, outdoor spaces that provide plenty of room for physical activity, along with creative setups and playground equipment that are specially designed for your child’s need to be active. developmental needs. Your little one will explore, play, make friends and have fun, while building foundation skills alongside others of a similar age and stage of development.
