Kia Ora,

Welcome to Kindercare Rangiora! We understand that choosing the right early childhood care and education for your child is a significant decision. This is a personal invitation for you to visit us; my team and I would love to meet you and your child.

Our experienced and qualified team is wholeheartedly committed to keeping your child safe, loved, and learning throughout their time with us. Tamariki are at the core of everything we do, and we are passionate about developing their potential and supporting them to become lifelong learners. Our team members bring a diverse range of experiences, skills, and perspectives. This diversity allows us to offer the best possible care and educational experiences for your child.

At Kindercare Rangiora, we embrace and value the richness of different cultures. Since 2011, we have been a part of the community, offering a fun-filled learning program that encourages innovative thinking, discovery, and curiosity. Our philosophy is underpinned by a vision to serve with love and is connected by our values of keeping children safe in a supportive, caring, and nurturing environment. We aim to ensure a strong sense of belonging within tamariki through feeling loved, welcomed, and supported in an environment that fosters curiosity, while providing an engaging, diverse, and challenging learning environment.

We warmly invite you and your whānau to visit us. We are conveniently located for families in Rangiora, Southbrook, Flaxton, Woodend, and Fernside and it would be our pleasure to support you in your childcare needs.

Why Choose Our Centre

Simply put, it’s because we offer outstanding early childhood care and learning. But here are a few other great reasons:

  • Our team members are especially enthusiastic about nurturing social skills, empathy, and problem-solving skills in tamariki to ensure each child has the opportunity to become well-rounded.
  • Tamariki are at the heart of what we do at Kindercare and we are passionate about supporting children to be lifelong learners.
  • Our operational hours allow us to provide flexible options to suit your family’s needs, with full-time and part-time care.
  • We embrace tangata whenuatanga, manaakitanga and whanaungatanga as important values that speak to the culture of our team and whānau.
  • Kai is included. We provide high-quality plant-based whole-food meals for tamariki—all cooked on site and prepared with love.
  • We offer a generous leave policy because we understand the unpredictability of children’s absences.
  • We invite parents to be fully involved in centre life through annual events like pet days, wheels days, picnic evenings and Christmas parties.

About Our Care

Childcare at our centre is thoughtfully designed to meet the aspirations of whānau and cater to the unique needs of each child. We provide age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, emphasising outdoor exploration which aligns with our centre’s values. As children progress through our centre, our Rangiora preschool offers a seamless transition, preparing them for a smooth pathway to school and kura. Our comprehensive learning program supports social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, incorporating initiatives such as You Can Do It!, Smart Steps, Digital Technology Integration (for over three-year-olds), and environmental care.

Through meaningful relationships with whānau, tamariki, and the wider community, we create a supportive and empowering environment for all children to thrive. By observing children’s learning and interests, we gain an authentic view, allowing us to responsively design purposeful learning environments tailored to each child’s needs. We embrace a holistic approach that considers social, emotional, physical, well-being, and cultural needs of children, supporting them throughout their journey at Kindercare Rangiora to become lifelong learners.

We also value open communication and we’re keen to hear about your specific childcare needs, as well as any important details about your family. Understanding your family unit enables us to provide a tailored approach to your child’s care, learning and fees, to support their growth.

Fee Schedule:

We understand that families have different childcare needs, and we would love to discuss them with you. By working in partnership with you, we can create a personalised plan that supports your child’s growth and development while meeting your budget.
