Transition to School
Like you, we want the best for your child. So we don’t compromise on safe, supportive, care and education. Our team works hard to ensure your family receives the highest standard of care for your weekly fee, which includes:
- a generous annual leave allowance
- a nutritious midday meal, prepared fresh at the centre daily – so you won’t need to pack kai
- healthy mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks to fuel your child’s play and learning
- our Positive Parenting program – offering tips, advice and support for every family
Because every child has different needs, we ask that you supply your child’s own bottles, formula and nappies for each day.
If you would like to learn more about our fees, enrolment schedules or space availability, please let us know. We’re happy to talk through any questions or provide whatever information you may need, to help you make the best decision for your child and your family.
What’s the first step?
You are welcome to pop in for a visit at anytime. We’d love to show you around our safe, loving daycare centre, introduce you to our fun-loving team, and chat to you about how we can work together to provide the best care, development and learning for your child. It’s our way of partnering with you from the very beginning – to do everything possible to meet your child’s unique needs. Because we’re all about serving children and families with love, at Kindercare Linwood.
Why choose our centre?
Since 2004, our relaxed, homely environment has been providing gentle care and fun-filled learning for tamariki. And we’re committed to our partnership with parents and whānau too, which is why we’re open during school holidays and we serve a nutritious, midday meal.
Our centre has three creatively designed rooms to care for and educate children from the age of 2 years old, until they leave to go to primary school (usually at 5 years old). Your child will enjoy time outside, exploring our shared outdoor playground with friends.
Our care and learning
At our childcare centre, we’re passionate about ensuring your child receives the loving care you would want for them, while nurturing their full and amazing potential. We do this by guiding them through a range of fun-filled learning experiences based on their interests and needs. These activities focus on building your little one’s foundation skills; social and emotional development, and their physical capabilities. Above all, we’ll treasure your child in a safe environment that respects and embraces them for who they are.
Tūī and Pūkeko Rooms (toddler and preschool rooms)
We understand that when your child is nurtured in an environment that fosters their social and emotional development, they’re developing skills for life – like resilience, persistence and confidence. That’s why we offer our ‘You Can Do It’ program for our cherished tamariki. They’ll be learning through song, puppets and conversations – while having heaps of fun.
Takahē Room (transition to school room)
Moving on to primary school is a big step for your child, indeed. However, with the right foundation skills, the transition can be much easier for your child. We guide our tamariki through visits to local schools, fostering positive relationships with their New Entrant Kaiako and having ‘lunch box’ days at the centre. This, and so much more, will give your child the confidence, preparation and loving reassurance they need to embark on their primary school journey.
Our world of outdoor play
Because we know from research that tamariki need to be physically active to learn and develop, we appreciate the importance of time outdoors where your child can explore, move freely and be physically challenged, under the watchful care of our Kaiako.
A little about our team
At Kindercare, we understand that deciding who will care for your child when you’re apart from them is no small decision for families and whānau. We’d like to reassure you that, for us, it’s a privilege to be entrusted with your child’s care during their early years.
Our experienced team of qualified Kaiako work passionately with you to build a strong relationship with families and whānau, because that bond between home life and centre life is essential to ensure that together, we keep your child safe, loved and learning.
Here at Kindercare Linwood we value partnership with parents and whānau. We really want to work closely with your whānau to make sure that the care and education we provide is responsive to your culture, values and beliefs.
I am happy to sit down with you at any time and have a discussion about working together to develop your child’s full potential.
My team and I look forward to warmly welcoming you to our childcare centre, and encourage you to pop in for a visit with the opportunity to ask questions and meet the team.
