Childcare Fees & Availability

You’ll notice we haven’t published a day care fees breakdown for each of our centres. That’s because every centre is unique – shaped by its local community and tailored to the families it serves. Fees also vary based on a child’s age, part-time or full-time care options, offering flexibility to meet different family circumstances. We recommend contacting your local Kindercare centre to discuss your childcare needs to understand the different fee types, so we can work together to keep your child safe, loved and learning every day.

Why Talk to Us About Childcare Costs?

  • Subsidies & Financial Support: We can help you understand what government-funded options you may be eligible for including FamilyBoost and WINZ Childcare Subsidy, making quality childcare more affordable.

  • Flexible Enrolments: Our centres offer full-day and part-day care options, working with you and supporting your schedule.

  • Tailored Support: We work in partnership with you to design an individual learning plan that supports your child's care, growth and development, at their own pace, in their own time.

  • Transparent Communication: We discuss fees and any potential additional costs upfront, so you have clarity and confidence in your childcare investment.

What’s Included in Our Childcare Fees?

Our childcare fees cover more than just care. They include:

  • Qualified, caring Teachers focused on your child's wellbeing and development and their individual learning plan.

  • Age-appropriate learning activities guided by Te Whāriki, New Zealand's national early childhood curriculum.

  • Nourishing meals (morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea) to fuel developing brains and energetic bodies.

  • Safe, welcoming indoor and outdoor environments equipped with quality learning resources.

  •  A national support team that keeps things running behind the scenes, so our centre team can focus on what matters most: building strong, meaningful connections with each child. To us, this is what exceptional care looks like – supporting the people who nurture, nourish and inspire your child.

20 Hours ECE

20 Hours ECE is a government subsidy that's available to any child aged 3, 4 and 5. The subsidy is paid directly to the early childhood centre where the child is enrolled. This subsidy is available to preschool children regardless of their family's income, and families can choose to use as many or as few hours of 20 Hours ECE as you want at any ECE service, up to 6 hours a day and 20 hours a week. If your child is under three years of age at the time of enrolment at our centre, this scheme will kick in as soon as they turn three, we will get in touch with you closer to the time to let you know about the change in fees.

Some childcare providers market this as 20 Free ECE Hours. This means parents are not charged, and the cost is covered by a government subsidy up to the minimum standard they expect of a licensed centre. By definition, this expectation is for a Teacher:child ratio of 1:10 and that a minimum of 50% of the team is made up of qualified Registered Teachers.
