What are wet bags?

These are washable, re-usable bags that look fun and are a practical replacement for plastic bags. If your child has wet or messy play clothing from their day with us, we would pop these items into their Wet Bag making it convenient for parents and our team.

Why are we using them?

Reducing or eliminating the use of plastic bags are a hot topic! These bags ensure we work together to protect our environment, and in doing so, teach children that when we all do a little, we can make a big difference.

What’s the plan?

We gift each child with their first wet bag. Additional or replacement bags are available for purchase for $4 each so just chat to us if you need another one. All you have to do as whānau is ensure it comes to our centre each day with your child. And any wet or messy play clothing from their fun-filled day can be popped into their wet bag to be taken home. The bags are machine washable (max temp of 30ºC), to be dried on the line. Do not tumble dry or bleach. Cool iron. Also, with so many wonderful wet bags being used in our centre, don’t forget to put your child’s name on their bag.

Because our team pop any wet, soiled or messy play clothing in your child’s bag during the day, for you to take home, it’s really important that wet bag comes to Kindercare every time your child is in the centre.
